Man charged with shooting, killing brother

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man is facing first degree murder in connection to the shooting death of his brother.

According to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Department, Holdon Burdette, 23, is accused of shooting Joshua Burdette, 31.

The sheriff’s department says Holdon was identified as a person of interest early in the investigation into the shooting in Sissonville Monday.

Deputies say Joshua’s father found him with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Joshua was pronounced dead at the scene with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds.

The incident was reported just before 10 p.m. Monday on White Tail Road.

Holdon is currently being held in South Central Regional Jail.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Kanawha County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for information after a man was found dead late Monday night. Investigators believe he was shot.

The case is being investigated as a homicide, deputies say.

A person of interest was detained at the scene.

The victim, who was 31 years old, was found by his family.

The incident was reported just before 10 p.m. on White Tail Road near Sissonville.

The incident was reported just before 10 p.m. in the 200 block of Whitetail Lane.

Deputies with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Department are on the scene.
